ZF Transmission noise
Okay heres the deal i can drive the car all day and as long as it doesn't get up around 200+ deg everything is fine, once it goes past that when the fans kick on i get a clanking noise that is coming from underneith the car, sounds like from the bell housing or something on the tranny, anyone else get this noise? I am driving down to BG on thursday and don't want the tranny to crap out on me, since the clutch was replaced 11,000 miles ago i don't think it was that, i have heard it before but i maybe just getting parinoid because of the trip any suggestions?

Your problem is definately the dual mass flywheel. There is no solution other than replace it. A lot of people have gone with a single mass (standard) flywheel in an attempt to save a few bucks, but most end up less than impressed with the increase in gear noise. This is a common problem that occures with these cars and it's not a cheap part to replace.
Post again if you require further info.

Re: ZF Transmission noise (COMPVET)
well, is it something that is going to cause problems or wear on the tranny? i have just recently paid $1400 to have the clutch replaced, and would really prefer to wait until it comes time to replace the clutch again to re-do the flywheel and everything all at once
