What year C-4? The factory plugs on the LT1 are known for the platium pluck to come off. A lot of people use other brands due to this problem. ie. NGK

I run Bosch plats (standard) in my DD, never tried them in the Vette. Never tried the Plus 4 models, either. Use the NGK TR-55 Platinum instead.

I am with F92 on this. I tried the +4's - and mileage went down (shrouds the flame path from plug).........went with my old stand by TR-55s and mileage went right back up !

In Lincoln Tech one of my instructors was a Chevy Tech, he said that a lot of cars with the +4's came in and apparently the platnum electrodes fell off, and then tumbled around inside the motor and scuffed up the bores. You couldn't pay me to run those plugs.

I wouldn't fool with 'em, either.

there are two diffrent tr55 one platnuim and the other is iranuim

Which would be better? Iranium sounds like it is better but not price wise.
What gaps would you recomend with both options.

I use the bosch platnuims regulars. but they are gaped to .045 instead of .035 When i used the stock gaping my gas milage went down so i gaped up till it ran better.

Go with the NGK TR-55 Double Platinums. They're excellent. If you've got pockets deeper than the average bear, try the NGK Iridiums.

does the year actually matter when choosing plugs? I know ingnition volts and the heads do matter.

I was looking for the TR 55 duoble plat and i was not able to find them for my application.
1989 L98 ,alum head

I did find diffrent NGK's called V-power.
Any advice on these?

I've never used them, but I've got some buddies on the F-bodies Forum who swear by the V-Power plugs for L98's. They're a copper core plug and well within the stock heat ranges, I can tell you that.

Check your service manual, but I think the stock plug gap is .050
