Depending on which LS1, up until 2001, I could beat just about every LS1 with my LT1. Of course, we know an LT4 should blow me away.
The 2001 LS1 beat me by 2 tenths(only one I raced) but his best ever was only one 100th better.

I know the LS1 is rated higher but the LT4 is actually faster. From what I've seen, they both dyno around the same. Let me put it this way, I would put my LT4 against any (stock) LS1 and feel very confident. Unless of course, Mr. Mojo is driving the LS1. :D That man can make a car work!

I feel that the LT-4 is stronger than any pre-2000 LS-1s. But 2001 and on, that is a different story. I have seen stock 2001 LS-1s 6speeds at the track running high 12s at over 110mph. I think the HP rating for the 2001 and on LS-1 motors are a little conservative, but so are the HP rating for LT-4s.
