Goodyear F1-GS-D3's...who has them?
I'm thinking about mounting these on the new Torq Thruster II's I just bought. (9.5" X 17" [4 qty])
I like the design of the tire, but more importantly, I'm wondering how they perform?

Everyone who has them loves the GS-D3s, it seems. And if you need just a bit more forward traction and don't mind less tread life, the F1 Supercars are the best non-drag radials I've ever had on the rear.

I havent heard one complaint about them, I will get them next.
They also finished first in the latest issue of C&D in a 11-tire test.

Thanks to all who have replied.
I certainly like what I read...so I'm sure this is the way I'll go.
Up to this point I haven't been very fond of Goodyear tires...
Thanks again.

Tires
The December 2005 issue of Car & Driver has a performance tire test of eleven different tires including those Goodyears. It's the Shock and Awe issue with the Z06 vs Viper test on the cover. I personally live in california in a place where it doesnt rain much and I don't ever drive in the rain if it does. So for me it was totally about dry performance. My car also only gets about 3k to 4k miles a year on it so I wasn't worried much about treadwear either, the tires will have gone bad before I wear them out on the street. For that reason and having used them in the past and loved them I was going to get the BFGoodrich Comp TA KD's when this thing is rolling again. They didn't review well because of their wet performance but the dry was great which is what I needed. You really have to kind of read the comparo test as to how it applies to you. Hope that helps.

Melting Slicks
Has anyone tried them in the cold weather ??
like under 30 degree's ???
every performance tire I have every own is compleltly USELESS under 30 degrees out side.
For me, it'll be ONLY ALL season tires.

I have been driving on them daily for 2 years. I drive in all weather. The only limitation I have read about regarding these tires is not driving with them in snow. I do drive with them in cold weather but not as aggresively. I do like the tires. Kinda expensive. Did lose one once, never determined why the tire failed. No puncture in tread. Sidewall was perforated by the time I got car stopped. Good luck with your purchase.
