Default first ride in vette after zf6 conversion

Well she's done (mostly anyway).

The first ride was quite interesting as the clutch warmed/smoked more than I'd planned on. The real kicker is getting use to the "clutch engagement" zone versus the tremec in the GTO. The clutch engages nicely in the first 3rd of pedal travel. The transmission shift with a nice thuck on every shift.

Since I am using the single mass Fidanza flywheel valeo clutch (would have been happier with a fidanza w/ studs installed and steel body pressure plate) I have the nice rattle in neutral BUT you can hardly hear it over the exhaust.

I just have to figure out why I have 80 psi of oil pressure at idle

Glad to hear the conversion went well!

I'm just about finished sorting out some issues I had with mine (clutch grabbed REALLY low to the floor), but other than that, I'm really happy and glad I did it.

I *think* the guage will read 80psi if you short the wire from the sender. Therefore my bet is the wire from the sending unit is trapped between the bellhousing and the block, and grounding out.

nope it actually reads 78 psia at idle and goes to 83 at more than idle. Haven't really fooled with WOT yet
