Default Greenwood Hood Louvers Do Work!

For those of you wondering if the Greenwood C4R hood louvers worked or not I can tell you that yes they do without a doubt! They probably actually saved my car last weekend! To make a long story short, my ac clutch bearing popped and the grease cooked off on the hot shaft. You should have seen the cloud of smoke exiting my louver on the passenger side, serious smoke screen action ala James bond! If I didn't have the louvers in my hood, I probably would have had flames before the smoke was noticeable! So instead of a toasted car, I only need a new compressor clutch!

Has anyone had these put in when they weren't painting the entire hood? Just curious on how much of a PIA it might be...I really like them, but don't want to go through painting too much of the car again!

Man, those are sweet... but YOW they're expensive! "as low as $445" with a package purchase.

I think that IS the price, $495. If you go to pricing on their website, it's 495. Kinda pricey. Buttt.tttt.....it's good to know A) it works! and B) wow, does it ever look good on Doug's car! and C) yes, I do think about "cutting my hood". hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, gotta think about that one again...............

Thanks for the write up and pics.

I have a few pictures of mine on my website. I just painted the louvers and not the hood. No need to do the entire hood.

I got mine here for $300

Talk about a price reduction! Wow, that's huge, 40% difference from Greenwood to Mold Kraft. Starting to look better........at $500 I was wondering.
