Here is some information that can hopefully get you headed down road

http://www.futurlec.com/EPROMProg.shtml

This is the eprom programmer I use

http://www.futurlec.com/ICEPROM.shtml

27C128-200 27C128 128K 200ns CMOS EPROM

These are the blank chips for your ECM you should get 3 or 4 of them

http://www.thebytefactory.com/

The D-Erase UV Eraser is functionally equivalent to the world-famous Datarase II ACT eraser previously produced by

Walling Company.

This is the Eprom eraser I have

http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html

This is the software to edit the code on the chip

You also need one of these definition files (depending on which car you have) to go along with it

$6E 1227165

89 Y & F CAR 5.0L & 5.7L

$32B 1227165

87 - 88 Y & F CAR 5.0L / 5.7L TPI

You need the Tuner and the definition file for your car

You will Also need a MEMCAL Adapter You can get these from Craig Moates

http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...products_id=32

You will also Want to be able to Scan and capture ALDL Data You have several options but you will need and ALDL

cable and some software

I use DataMaster from TTS Power Systems

But here is a list of a bunch of them

TTS Datamaster - http://www.ttspowersystems.com/diagnostic.htm
WINALDL - http://winaldl.joby.se/
EFILive - http://www.efilive.com/scan_4.html
Moates Free GMECM - http://www.moates.net/gmecm/software.html
FreeScan - http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/ecu_software.htm
CarBytes - http://www.blacky.co.nz/free/index.htm
ALDL_LOG - http://www.lotus-carlton.fsnet.co.uk/aldl_basics.htm
ALDMON for the 1227727 and 1227730 - http://pweb.de.uu.net/pr-meyer.h/aldl.htm
EASE Diagnostics - http://www.easesim.com/
Diacom Plus - http://www.rinda.com/auto/auto.htm
PCMComm 16188051 - http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S...24/95cam2.html
ElanScan - http://members.lycos.co.uk/mcnica01/M100_ALDL.html
TunerCat - http://www.tunercat.com/
LT1-Edit - http://www.carputing.com/
TunerPro - http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/

And Like I said you will need a cable

Here are a few choices

http://www.aldlcable.com/

http://www.akmcables.com/

http://www.wotelectronics.com/cables.html

http://www.mastach.com/

Or if you are handy with a soldering iron you can build your own.. That Is what I did. The Schematics are

downloadble on the web Just GOogle ALDL SCHEMATIC

With this stuff you can make all your changes yourself

If you want to do different cars you just then have to get the correct blank chips and the proper definition file

to load into TunerCat

If you would like I can provide you with a starter chip and i will be more than glad to offer you some help on

figuring all this out.

you can email me at gfloyd@bellsouth.net

The only way to do it right is to use a Wideband O2 meter. I use the Innovate WBO2.

thanks mk842766, and thanks for the info and the offer of help gregfloyd.
i guess i should start with the fact that my corvette is a 85 originally set up with a tpi 350 with the 9th injector. that is where i decided to begin my transformation as i know alot of you on here have. i swapped the factory ecm a 870 with burnoff i belive for the 165 model ecm.
than out comes the stock 350 to make room for the 388 stroker (383 bored .060) so this is where i am at, so i dont have any data as i havent even fired it yet as i feel the factory settings will be way too lean and it will barly run + i would rather not have it run lean for any length of time that way. shouldnt i first get or copy a chip from someone with a similer setup as a good starting basis and go from there?
and yes i do have the autoxray 5000 for scans, and i do have some bins and masks like a something 32 mask and like a 6e mask and a couple bins a 86 tpi and a 88 conv vette. but non of these seem very specific and i dont remember where they came from, so i dont know how trustworthy they are.
also as of right now i have tuner pro to use for edits.
can give more specifics on my setup if needed. thanks

Ok, for starters get a copy of ARAP ($6E .bin). Before burning it to a chip, change the injector constant in it to reflect the size injectors you are running. Burn that to a chip and start the car with the scanner hooked up and running. Check your BLM's at idle, you want them to be somewhere in the 118-140 range just to get you started. If they fall in this range, take the car out for a short drive and data log it. Check your BLM's during the ride in the different cells. You are wanting an "ideal" BLM average to be 128, readings from 123-134 are acceptable and pretty much normal.
Post back here with your scan data and you'll probably get input from several sources.
