Default Where is oil pressure sensor?

Since owning this 85, oil pressure sits at 80 psi. I figure the sensor is shot, unless someone has another theory. I just need to know where it is. Thanks

The sending unit is stuck into the back of the intake manifold, below the cap.

It looks like a small fuel filter.

It very likely is the sender, but it is easy to check. I keep forgetting which way it goes, but 80# oil pressure is as high as the read out will indicate. That happens when the either the circuit is open or when it is grounded. Under the opposite condition the read out will indicate zero. Pull the wire off of the sender and check the read out, both with an open circuit and again with it grounded. An ohmmeter can be used to be sure the sender varies the output. It may only be a broken or shorted wire. This is probably a good time to order a factory service manual, before you run into more serious problems.

RACE ON!!!

PS. Most people pull either the distributor or the windshield wiper moter to get to it.

Did you click on "Aftemarket" at the upper left? Then list your car? I made some "clicks" for you and ended up HERE.
