Default Finally got my corvette today!

Hey guys, i finally bought my corvette today. I picked up a red 91 coupe. I love it so far, the only downfall it has is that it has the 2.59 rear end, but im not going to let that bother me, i just want to enjoy this. I was wondering though, is it possible to buy a new manual somewhere? It didnt come with one, but i was wondering if you could buy one online somewhere. Also, can you guys recommend anything for floormats? The floormats in my old car dont fit as they are to wide. Lastly, i may get alot of crap for this, but do you guys believe in putting mudflaps on a corvette? I guess i just worry about the paint. Thanks again!

Chris

I have a red 87 roadster with the 259 gears and it has been pretty nice to cruise the interstate at 70 mph and get right at 29 mpg with a car that will still win most stop light intimidations. I have seen the manuals on ebay, and floor mats are available there and from most of the supporting vendors here. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new '91 Vette.

I too have the 2.59 gears and love them as I take quite a few trips in my Vette.

You can get a manual from the HELM, and a GM Shop Manual set would be a great investment too.

Check out the Corvettes at Carlisle pics on my site to see what a white '88 looks like with flexable mud guards.

Enjoy your ride and save the wave.

I know exactly how you feel. I got my car last night at 3 in the morning. A truck dropped it off. I did not get to see it in the light until I woke up this morning. WOW am I impressed. I love it. Unfortunitely I can not drive it yet.

Welcome....buy a shop manual, find a good, cheap tire supplier, a good mechanic, and a trustworthy tow service!

Good advice on the AAA Bogus. Jadez....has a good point too!!

Small mud flaps are OK. I wish I had them to reduce the number of rock chips behind the wheels. Don't get crazy though....no mud flaps with Tweety Bird or the chrome naked chick. Decent mud flaps and floor mats Corvettecentral.com or Madvette.com.

I think I would stay with the auto. If you want a manual, it may be cheaper and easier to sell yours and buy what you really want.
