Tranny Help needed for S. Jersey
The on-going saga continues. Despite some progress on the engine rebuild from last October (thanks Mark and everyone who wrote), the MN6 tranny is definitely the cause of my latest concern. After warming up, then starting from a stop (I'm in first or 2nd) I hear a slight grinding or flexing in the tranny.
Any ideas? Any good tranny mechanic recomendations?

Jim, I don't remember if I recommended him before, but Tommy is the man.

He's real busy, but he may be able to help or at least tell you where to go if he can't take you in.

Sorry - cheap joke
I vaguely remember your reference to him before, so I'll give him a whirl shortly!

Less than 84 bucks later, my problem is cleared up. During the engine rebuild, the exhaust system was compromised for fit and alignment. The many year saga (last posted June 2005) ended. It is embarrassing that it took so long, but the happy ending finally got here.
