Cam question/problem
The car is back from getting a pressure line for the power steering pump put in. I am still having issues with the new cam. She will idle fairly well in neutral. If you are sitting at a red light in drive she wants to bog down though. She runs fine under normal exceleration but when you go to wot she wants to bog down again. All I can think is that I do not have the lifters set correctly. Any other thoughts would be great. BTW, 96 Lt1 and the cam specs are really close to the hot cam. they are Dur. @ .050 224 230 lobe sep:112. Thanks in advance

anyway did you replace the stock converter with a 2500 or higher stall?

You definatly need to get the computer reprogrammed. The computer can "learn"...but I don't think it can adjust itself that much to run your new cam without some help. I'm getting my computer back from Ed Wright in a couple days...he's done most of my reporgramming and does a good job of it. Feel free to contact him at www.fastchip.com.

GlockLT4, I am positive. Spent last weekend taking the front end apart to check it... Once I lined up the dots, I actually spent a half hour just staring at the gears to make sure it was right...
(I was really hoping that this was the problem!!)

Yes, I believe its the exact same cam.
CCA-07-503-8 Camshaft, Hydraulic Roller Tappet, Advertised Duration 276/281, Lift .503/.510, Chevy LT1/LT4
I stuck it in last october along with the heads. Drivablility seemed okay until I added longtubes in February. Seems real low on power, rough idle, occasional pop on tip in.
Really annoying.
Replaced Opti (twice),O2 sensors, tested everything, checked everything out, same symptoms.
Gonna try again with a tune soon, but it sure is frustrating...
