Default Rear Sway Bar End Link Install Question

I bought a kit from a fellow forum member a while back and did not get any instructions.

Are you supposed to reuse the metal sleeves from the original rubber bushings when installing polyurethane end link bushings?

The rear links fit without the sleeves although it appears that the bar would eat through the polyurethane bushing without a metal sleeve in no time.

Confused because energy suspensions site indicates to reuse metal parts. Any help would be appreciated.

I reused the metal sleeves in front, but not in rear.

There's no way in hell they would fit. I put them directly into the sway bar. No problems so far, its been two years.

Same here. I tried the rears w/o removing the metal sleeves, but they would just not fit. In the front I had trouble removing the old bushings. The inner sleeve came out and I had to use a propane torch to burn out the rest of the bushing.

Thanks guys,

I went with no metal sleeves on the back and only reused the upper link to sway bar metal bushing.
