Perfomance will depend on weather and track elevation, but I mostly agree with the posts of around 14.1-14.2sec with 2.59 gears and an A4; with 3.07s you should see high 13s.

So what I'm hearing here is that my 86 4+3 with my shiny new high flow cat and exhaust should run in the high 13's? I mean, that's pretty darn impressive for a 20 year old car. I had a 2000 Mustang GT that only ran mid to high 14's.

I'm in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada, eh) The Mustang was running normal. Most of the forums that post unmodded 1/4 mile times will show an average od 14.5 to 14.9 You'd think with 260HP it would be faster, but it makes its power way up in the RPM range so I think that slows it down a little. Its not all about the HP, its where it makes the power.

Yah, it all depends on the location and the conditions. Also, you have to always watch out for the guys who say they are running "stock"
I had the Mustang for a couple of years and watched the forums fairly regularly. Most real stock GT's on average do about mid 14's. I raced one about a week ago, and I had only had the vette for about a month. Hadn't driven it that much because it needed work and was in the shop. I've been driving a Hemi RAM auto for the past year, so my launch, shifting, etc was pretty rusty. I hadn't had the car tuned up yet and it was running a little rough. The Mustang edged out by about 1/3 car length at the light and I really didn't expect to do anything except not be embarassed. Turns out I had him by a nose after first and had easily won at the ned of second gear. I stopped then because high speed street racing just isn't my thing. Anyway, it's off to the track for me this summer and I'll find out for sure just what my new vette wil do!

My stock 88 A4 with 3.07s ran a 14.35 at 96 MPH with 125,000 on the clock.
With the free mods listed on 65Z01's website I was able to obtain 14.05 on a good weather night (60 F).
After I whacked my exhaust off in front of the main converter, I ran a best of 13.60 with a 1.89 60ft on street tires.
I since have put a high flow main cat and a magnaflow catback on, but haven't been out to the track this year.
Just remember, keep it in D not OD and load that puppy up. I found it best to launch from about 1800 rpms and I broke the tires loose 1 time in about 20 passes, always on street tires with about 26psi in the rears.
Have fun and be safe!

I don't have track times, just a g-tech.
My 87 vert auto with 3.07's ran 14.19@101.
I hope to check out the track this summer.
Hey Mac I've also been driving a Hemi Ram all winter, best of both worlds I believe.

Hey Agent86, that sounds like fun. I've never run the 1/4 either at a real track, so I'm definitely going to Mission this summer. With the Mustang I was leasing it and was always afriad to mod or run it. That's why I bought the 86 vette. No warranty and no lease. Let the mods begin. It already had an aftermarket y pipe without the pre cats when I bought it, and I added a Magnaflow high flow cat and custom bent catback. Now I need some long tube headers, a cold air system and maybe a biagger TB, although from reading the forum, seems like the stock TB is good to 400HP or so.
