Default Anyone in SoCal (LA) area change fan temp?

With the summer fast approaching I want to reprogram the fans on my 94' to come on at a lower temp. I understand this can be done by reprograming the PROM. Is there anyone or anyplace local who could do this for me? I live in the San Fernando Valley.

San Fernando valley! you live near Bogus,Cuisinartvette and some others of the forum too. i cant' re-program your computer but i can tell you a hypertech power programmer is a nice tool for adjusting just that. look it up,for the price($350) it has a few good things in there to play with.

Shinobi!
Have you tried a manual fan switch? I put a hypertech low temp switch and (this weekend) the corresponding chip to kick in the fans earlier. A big mouth air dam wouldn't hurt either. I'm close by, so holler if you need me

For much less than hypertech you can get tunercat and a cable to program the fans and then you have a much more useful tool for less money.

I live in the High Desert in So. Cal. I just put in a manual switch that turns on both of my fans. We have had some warm days recently and in traffic the temps raise to 210+ quickly. I have new radiator, thermostat 180 etc. When it gets between 210-220, I flip the switch and it starts comming down. Great investment of about $6.00
