Default I finally did my plugs and OUCH MY HANDS

Guys dang my hands are sore from pulling ang tugging. I did have a good find though. My wires had been replaced recently so I got to skip that but the plugs were in bad bad shape. The gap was out on 3 of them. They were the orginals I believe. Can you believe that some one would change the wires but not the plugs. I just didnt like the ac delcos so I went with bosch plats. Man the take off power is like night and day. see yall

Do you think NEW AC Delco's would be the same as the NEW Bosch Platinums? Just curious why you said that about the Delco's?

The bosch looks like a better plug. Even my father that has rebuilt motors for years said that the bosch looked better. Dont get me wrong I use delco brands all the time I just think that in this part the delcos could be replaced. But who kons I might learn later on that the delcos are better only time will tell.

#8 should not be changed. If they (GM) wanted the plug changed they would have made it accessable.

I have heard that the Bosch Platinums are a nightmare, poor quality sprak plug. I can't speak from experience, having never used them, but I've told on numerous occasions to stay away from them. Just MHO.

I'll replace mine this summer. Going to save myself the aggravation and not even try to save the wires. I always replace spark plugs with the same type that was originally installed. As a mechanic in the 70's, I replaced a bunch done by do it yourselfers who then complained about rough idle or something. Put in the originals and all was well again. Doesn't really make sense that it would matter, but that's the way it seemed.

Default I have full length headers on my LT4

I have full length headers on my LT4 and have done plugs 3 times until I found the ones that worked best. Each time I do them, I cut the time required to finish. Last time I did them, it took me 45 minutes including drink and prayer breaks. I must admit I took more prayer breaks the first time to keep me from saying bad words.

I just found the plug socked and extension combination for each plug. I hope I remember the recipe for the next time I do them.
