Default Master cylinder leaking!!

Hey guys...i have a break fluid leak between my mc and the booster it looks like it's draining from the rear res...do i need a new mc...??? if so i hope some one has one for sale because it's 369.99 at mid america!! don't they have remans???
i changed the booster a while back...could i have created this leak?
first vette booster install i used to have a camaro...but i figure it's a pretty cut and dry process.

thanks

if your 90 is like my 89 master cylinder the resi's are plastic snap on type.. make sure they are seated properly and the leak is coming from there.. if its coming out of the rear of the cylinder itself its time for a new one.... now for the good news.. 369 is you being screwed!! i just bought mine last year and it was 80 bucks for a reman one from the parts store.. it is working fine and is a nice unit ya just switch your resi's on it and bleed... hope this helps

Thanks guys!!!!! i was seriously worried about that price!!! that would set back a lot of ponies for a long time!!!!
I'm heading to see my parts guys tomorrow morning!!!
because io cleaned it up and it's leaking from the back of the master.
btw it actually dripped on to my frame i want to re coat that area. the spot it leaked on is small but i don't want frame rust!!! is there a special way to clean the area and is there a certain paint i should use.
i was gonna go with rust inhibitor or spray can o bed liner...but i need to make sure i get the surface clear of the brake fluid first.
thanks
James.

Brake parts cleaner will take care of the fluid. If any brake fluid made it into the booster, expect to be replacing that in the near future as well.

Yep you need a master cylinder. I got mine off ebay for about $50. It was new old stock. I'd just shop the discount auto stores for a replacement rather than going to a vette store. You'll pay a premium there.
