How many days will your Corvette stay parked before the battery goes dead?

Just fired her up after almost 2 months of no driving or anything, fired right up. The alarm shoudl only draw minimal amount. If your battery goes down after a few weeks, you either have a bad battery or parasitic loss somewhere.

I think standing outside in the cold weather wears the battery down a bit more than room temperature too. (My car's in a garage 24/7 which is close to room temp.)

Lead acid batteries self discharge 1% each day at 77 degrees F and each increase of 17 degrees F doubles the discharge rate! If the temperature is reduced, the self discharge rate decreases!

My 85 would drain the fresh in 4 to 5 weeks sitting in the cold .I now have a quick dis-connect switch in the 88 and 95. After 3 weeks the battery is still fully charged.
Remember not to recharge the battery with the cars alternator - this will GREATLY shorten the alternator's life.

Does locking the doors make the security system drain voltage? I'm not sure, but it seems like the battery stays charged up longer when I leave the doors unlocked. I'd like to drive the car everyday, but I refuse to drive it in the rain, snow or ice. So, it has remained parked for up to 10 days. I've had to jump start it several times. -- Eric

with JFB... find the source of your current drain.
In the interim buy yourself a battery float charge. Float chargers sense the current drain from your car and only charge at a rate that replaces the drain. That way they can't overcharge or harm your battery in any way. Using one prevents the sulphate build up on the plates, extending battery life There are many brands out there like Battery Tender. I bought mine from Harbor Freight for $7.95. It's the best eight bucks I ever spent.

Plus, the passenger seat motor is inoperable.
Feel that passenger seat motor if its hot thats your problem.
Also you can put a 12 volt light between your battery pos.& the disconnected pos. cable, then pull fuses to identify the circuit.
