Default Engine Problem

While stopped for a traffic light, and transmission in DR, the engine starts to miss, then return to normal after a few seconds. It keeps doing this on and off until I drive off. Do not feel this problem on acceleration or cruising.

Anyone ever experience this problem and found the cause. I have 94000 miles. Plugs and wires were replaced at about 70000 miles.

The first thing I'd do is check the timing. It sounds like when the car is coming to a stop, the timing is being retarded too much that it begins to sputter and when you accelerate, the timing advances and corrects itself.

I think you would be better off pulling your error codes. You may have an O2 sensor that is acting up, a bad TPS or IAC. Anyway, pull your error codes. The '94 has Optispark and timing is a non-adjustable feature of this miracle ignition system....
