This has crossed my mind too because I have DiacomPlus to, look in the back of PC magazine, there is a company called jottodeskjottodesk

Their phone number is 1-877-455-6886 this is really the only option that you would really have to mount it in the car. Hope this helps.

I usually set my log to record. If the wife is along she holds it, if I'm alone I just close it and set it up on the rear deck I set the alarms on auto tap for spark knock.

Try this go to a C.B. radio shop that deals with over the road truckers they seem to have a great selection. I found this place in Iowa somewhere off I-80 that had one that is small but very sturdy for my laptop. Then you could always down size the laptop to a notebook and use a PDA mount ie. Sony Viao.

This isn't to pretty, but it worked for me.
Piece of wood shelfing, tool draw antiskid foam & some bracing.

A State Police cruiser pulled me over one night, I was out testing.
He just wanted to see why the interior was lit up like a drive-in movie.
Lucky I was just cruising the inside lane saving some data from a run.
He just laughed and let me go, when I explained what everything was

i found a co. one time that makes laptop holders that mount to the front bolt of the seat track. they make stuff for cop cars, and it's made out of the adjustable metal gooseneck stuff and has a strap to hold your laptop to the tray. not only would it look very professional and work very well, i don't think you'd have to worry about anybody saying it was not legal or safe since it's the same equipment used by our friendly law-officers. it wasn't that expensive either, i think the one i wanted to get was like $60. i don't remember the name, but just search google or ask.com for automobile laptop mounts.
see ya,
sonny

no, it looks pretty similar to the one that other guy is talking about tho. it's the first thing that comes up if you search for automobile laptopp mounts on ask.com. except the one i'm talking about has a metal gooseneck so that the position can be adjusted.

Thanks, some of these look pretty good, BUT none seem to be just right......the ones that seem best you end up loosing the passenger seat.......but maybe there is no alternative to that considering the Vettes layout......

Would still be nice to see an actual installation if any one has used one...
