Default Swap SD for MAF?

I'm looking at doing an LT4 conversion with Hot Cam on my '93 LT1. I was hoping to get some advice on whether or not I should swap to MAF. If so, maybe how to go about making a complete swap. The tuning on SD just seems like too much trouble constantly having to burn and erase and burn and erase chips to get something right. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not that big of a deal. Help me out guys.

I appreciate everything you can tell me.
