Default Help!!! ECM Programming on a 92 383.

Has anyone ever attempted an ECM swap to a 94-Up style? Was it worth it? Any suggestions? I really don't want to drive to Oklahoma to have Ed dyno tune my 383...I can't find a sole in Dallas that can tune a 1992...HELP!!! Should have bought a 94....

It should not be that hard. The only thing I would be worried about is the CCM talking to the 94 PCM. Compatibility wise all the sensors, ignition and other engine management parts in the engine compartment would be plug and play. What is in your 92 LT1 383? Tuning for that engine should not be a big deal. Tell me what cam you have in the engine and what else has been done.

Default tjwong-thanks for the response...

It is 9.5 compression, a ZZ409 TPIS cam(Adv. duration 287/287, duration @.050 226/226, Lift .520/.520. 112 LSA.) 1.6 rockers, 2stage on the heads, MSD6A ignition, 52mm TB, and stock injectors. I am upgrading the injectors to 30lb and the TB to a 58mm. Scat forged crank and JE NOS pistons. I am scared to tune the car for NOS, maybe I shouldnt be. Like I said, I really do not want to drive to Oklahoma everytime I make a change to get it tuned....nobody in the DFW area that I know of will touch a 1992.
