Let me know if it works long term. I replaced my ECM when i had the same problems and symptoms as you experienced and it worked for a month or so then the problems returned.

I can get around the problem because i noticed the check ASR light stays on when it put key in warning me of a no start when hot. i just re- insert key a few times until I don't see the ASR light and it fires right up.

Default Hard to start

Just joined the forum today. Hope its okay to jump in. Have a 91 L98 Black Vette. Have a simular problem. Starts up quick. 30 miles down the road and turn her off and a little later, it's hard to start. Kinda like the starter drags.

It started after I put a Hypertech Thermo Master Power Chip in the ECM. Also after I put a Vortex Rammer cold air system with a 160 degree thermostat.

It gets hot. It's not a defect. Notice the big heat sink the ECM is wrapped in?

Default Hot And Cold Air Changes Perf.

Did anyone come to the idea, that it might be the EGR vavle. If it's stuck the engine won't breath and will stall, because it gives a different reading or vac. to EGR solinoid. If the ECM get's it's incorrect signal then the gas's and carbon's will be off and interupting the fuel system...ideal, clean your EGR valve by activating diaphram up and down manually by hand, or replace.

Had a hot start problem w/ my '76- Started & ran great when engine was cool- Stop for a couple of minutes & it would grind but not start-Thought it was a starter problem & changed out 20 or more (I'm a slow learner) before I stumbled on the timing being too advanced- It ran great but after the engine warmed , it wouldn't restart- Don't know if this is your problem but sometimes its the simple stuff
