Default Problems with codes

Car has been idling poorly, especially on initial fireup...thought it was the IAC being dirty or blocked, so I got the kit to rebuild the TB, but before I got started on that, decideed to run some tests to see if any codes were showing.

I have the cheapie little Killebrew thing which basically just replaces the paperclip. Has several different plugins for various systems. Knew I had problems with the FX3 system and pulled those codes. Then I put in the ECM plug: Codes: 16, 26. & 32. Then I plug in the CCM plug in: codes (and it shows a small number) 1. H74 4. H16, H26, H32 (which interestingly are the same as the ECM codes) 9 --- 1.0 --- and finally the SIR plug flashed 12/13/12/13.

This stuff just plain scares me. I know 32 is EGR associated ( just replaced the EGR and EGR solenoid last year). what are the others?

Any help will really be appreciated. a real novice here. I have an AC/DC volt and ohm tool and that's about it.

Thanks...and please be gentle. :banghead:

Have an 87 and check gm codes: can't find 16 or 26, but 32 is the EGR
good luck... sure someone else will chime in.

Try this site.

http://www.c4vettes.com/

Under "In Depth Info" Check "ECM COdes". Under "Fact Sheets" look at "Trouble Code Recovery". It will be a place to start. Also, the "H" in front of the code is a history code.

Good luck.
