Default Optispark base timing?

Does anyone know if the Optispark has any initial timing built into it, or is it set at zero?

Mechanically, it has to be set at "0" b/c one of it's primary functions is to tell the ECM where TDC is on each cylinder. Each low res window should clear the light beam at 0*/TDC for each cylinder.
