tested the car on a straight lane, wot is in the 10.7-10.8 range sometimes it goes down to 10.6.i've tried to datalog but having issue with the new release of Tunerpro RT 5.00.83.69 since it now uses new .ADX extension vs the old .ads for datastream, resulting in a no connection.I'llTry with an old laptop with tunerpro rt 4.(if you look at Tunerpro site,in the dowload section you'll find that not all .ads file are releasedin .ADX format for all platform
there is a way to open this old .ads an convert it into .ADX by IMPORT DEFINITION>FROM ADS,
tunerpro rt open an old ads and then save it as .ADX,but again not connected button stays on,btw this is another issue...

I have only ever used WinALDL until now, but I plan to test TunerPro shortly.
In preparation I got an A028.ads file from Robert Saar that should be correct for the '85 1226870 datastream. I cand send it to you if you PM me.

Hmmm... but if you look at the "Most GM OBDI datastream definitions can be found here." link:
http://www.tunerpro.net/gmOBDI.htm
You will see the correct definition is listed as A028. I diffed the two and there are a fair number of differences. If you look at the strEngine line in the A20 file you will see it does not list L98s at all.
Since I have not tried either I can't say which is correct. Some trial and error may be required.

i've used a bunch of time A20 .ads as datastream definition and it work perfect using $1f.xdf and HLH 85 vette tpi.bin.I've used with no problem on previous version 4 of tunerprort.

i can confirm that the A20 .ads is fine for an 85'y body 5700 tpi l98 engine.Today had some datalog ,the same scenario my BLMs are stuked down in the low 110-112 even 108,AFR readings are in the 14.3-14.7 range,my ECM is working hard try to keep parameters but i think something mechanical is out of balance,i think i had some air leak .This engine need a intake job,my stumbling idling confirms this
