I bet mopst of us use Innovate. I do. Second most popular is Zetronix. I think I read that Summit has a WB now as well. I never heard of PLX?

My Innovate has been bullet proof past couple tuning seasons and mine is permanent install. Sensor itself is generally Bosch. Innovate uses a VW application. Inovate has excellent support and active forum for help as well.

As far as calibration I think I recalibrate once 1/2 way through season. takes about 30 sec but car needs to be not driven for 48 hours or so. I dont recall seeing any difference afterwards.

I just went to their website. I suspect it has no controller. My Innovate can hold record up to maybe 30 minutes of logs. Held in the "black box". I then can dowload at a convenient time and place(kitchen table with a malt beverage) into my laptop with program and analyse data. I suspect PLX can do as well(analog output) but you may need your laptop running next to you while you log. I do not see that software listed on their site but Tunerpro Rt most likely will work with it.
