Default Newbie need help really bad...

Folks,

I am not going to bash a vendor so I won't name them here, but my story is that a vendor provided me with an Ostrich, adapter board, TunerCat software, and the necessary bin files (I think?) so I can tune my 90 auto.

He supposedly put a custom program on the Ostrich to get me started.

Anyway, I discoed the battery, removed the custom ship I had in the thing for the last 10 years (it was on a daughter board), and installed the Ostrich, and reconnected the battery.

The thing did start, but ran like crap! I thought, ok, after a few minutes it will learn and get smoother. NOT. It set a whole bunch of codes which I did not pull yet. I shut it down and I am scared to use it. I wrote the vendor but no reply yet.

Anyway, I figure he screwed something up big time, maybe he used the wrong bin file or something.

Tunercat had the ECM-8D file with it and he provided another file, but it is password protected and he never gave me the password. I don't know if that is the right file for a 90 vert speed density.

Is there somewhere I can just pull the correct factory file and I would like to start from there.

Otherwise I am tempted to just put back the original (modified) chip and ship it back!

Thanks in advance!

Google Tunerpro RT. It will take you to Mansurs site. Click around there and you should find what you need.

Doooooooooooooooo'h! Self inflicted wound! I did not have the chip on the daughter board properly seated. It runs fine when you put it together right!!!!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
