Default Tuner in Central Florida to burn a ECM chip?

Need to see if someone can point me to someone on this part of the forum.

I had someone make up a chip for my 90 many years ago after I installed a super charger. I don't remember who did it, but it seems to run ok. I know it would be better to have one built custom on a dyno but I don't know anyone here in Central Florida that does that.

Another forum member posted a possible solution to a cruise control issue I am having. Requires a EPROM burn, and I don't know of anyone local that can help me with that, or if this really applies to a 90.

I remember that (daughter board) chip was pretty pricey. Anyone have any recommendation who to deal with to get this changed?

Here is what another forum member helped him with a similar problem, although an LT1 not an L98 like mine.

It's what turns off the injectors when you are coasting.

I just checked the tunercat list of parameters for your car, and it is in there, so any tuner would be able to disable it. Alternatively, you could get tunercats and tune it yourself, in which case you might be able to adjust the parameters to make them coexist.

I discovered the solution when I started trying to tune DFCO to improve mpg. The stock LT1 DFCO is very poorly calibrated and people have made significant improvements in mpg by fiddling with it. Once I realized that the interaction between DFCO and CC was the cause of the herky-jerky CC, I turned it off, and have seen no noticeable change in mpg, which supports the claim that the stock DFCO is pretty worthless.

Again, no idea how much of this will apply to your car...

p.s. it would be helpful for the next person searching on this topic if you ask a moderator to move the thread into either scan/tune or tech/perf.

Try contacting Breathless Performance to see if they still do chips for the L98. I don't know how close they are to you but it may be worth your while.

Call Rogers Corvette their in Fern Park and ask to talk to the service dept.
I can't remember his name, but he knew someone that was a Tuner, also try Corvette Dr in Sanford and H&H, which is right across the street fron Roger's.
Bo Laws in Downtown o-town used to do this, but I think they folded when Bo died.
Contact Corvette club of Orlando, they can help.

Thanks for all the replies.

I think Corvette Doctor moved to Alabama?

I talked to Jeremy at FasterProms and he is out of town so could not really help me anytime soon.

I made an appointment with Precision Motorsports - Bob remembered you Rich. Kind of far at two hours drive, but I will definitely need a tune after I put in a set of 30 lb injectors this weekend!

Just wish there was someone closer.
