Default Tuning 1996

Hello,I have bought a 396cui 558hp Golen LT4 engine for my 1996.
The problem is when it ideling it is very ritch the pcm adds fuel to max (25% read on HP scanner).when i give it som trottle it is leaning out.
Can a cam with big lift, duration and overlap cause this problems?

Idle you can't tune by the numbers, you have to use common sense and all other senses like nose, eyes and ears
At idle you probably get a false lean reading when it's in fact rich.

Go by the smell and lean it out until it stops to hurt in your nose. Watch the headers for glowing in the dark. Read the plugs.

Regards from southern Scandinavia
