Default WinALDL question

I tried to hookup to my 85 vette over the weekend and after following the directions, I started the engine the only sample files that were active are promidA and promidB all the rest were blank I tried checking the configuration and it is set for the correct ecm. Has any one else had this issue before? Should I be using this program or a different one?
