Default Thanks to all

who responded, but the relay you have pictured doesn't look anything like the relay in my 89, but I replaced the relay located in that area anyway.
Now I want to remove the passenger side "glovebox" to get at the ecm. Does anyone know how to do that?

should jsut have to undo the 3 screws underneath, pull that panel down, undo the 2 screws on either side of the ecm, unplug the harness, and it will just "fall" out.

Default ECM removal

Hmmmm... I removed 3 screws (where the passengers knees are) and took the panel out, after disconnecting the light, but still cant see the ECM. It looks like I have to take the "glove box" out, I've taken every screw I can find out, but (I hate to admit it) the I still cant get the "glove box" out. What the "secret" process?

Get on you back and look up. 2- 10mm screws hold it in place.
Remove the 2 screws and pull it down. You may need to push a few wires around.

While your there inspect the wires for exposed copper. Cover as required.

Default By the way

I'm planning on making a "jumper" to bypass the function on the ECM that enables the injectors (because of the intermittent nature of my problem engine "shuts down" on rapid accereration)
afterword it will crank, with varified (45 psi) fuel pressure, and spark.
Thanks for all the help
