Default 95 LT1 OBD1-2 problems

I am just about to pull my hair out(whats left) trying to get this OBD cable to pull data from my laptop.

I tried to make my own cable and was just getting junk data. My car is a 95 LT1 and is suposidly an OBD1 data stream with an OBD2 connector. I bought a premade cable and am having the same problem.

What am I doing wrong? The data stream is there but its just crap data.

What software should I use? I have tried countless programs and none of them have my exact vehicle, closest was a 94 LT1 Camaro.

I use Datamaster. You can download their software and get a free trial of 20 scans.
