Default Scan Software - Let's start a master list - both paid - and especially FREEBIES

i'm looking for FREEBIE software to read codes, etc.
i have a 1992 vette LT1 - and i don't think that freescan has the provisions for the Y VIN LT1 cars. MY ECM was talking to the computer, however, no data was coming through.

what other freebies are out there - i'll try TTS and their 20 free scans later - but right now i want FREE FREE FREE windows based is preferred, but beggars can't be choosers.

this could also server as a master list of both paid and freebie software for future tuners! - i'd love to keep the thread updated if we could get this rolling - anybody wanna play?

if a thread like this already exists, or i have created this post in error - let me know, and i'll have it forcibly removed!

The following is mainly just TPI related software, some will work with LT1 but not all.
To start off,
Free Scanners:
http://winaldl.joby.se/
http://www.moates.net/index2.html (Note. I, and others, haven't been able to get Craig's ECM 852 to work. However, ECM 851 works just fine. I have a copy stored.)
http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_4.html Carbytes..Free
Semi free:
http://www.ttspowersystems.com/DM_Beta_Software.htm (free for 20 sessions)
http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/ecu_software.htm Freescan
Pay:
http://www.iatn.net/ease/ $?
http://www.obd-onboarddiagnostics.co...t=2,14,18,16,0 $315
http://www.ttspowersystems.com/diagnostic.htm $119
http://www.rinda.com/auto/auto.htm Diacom GM $300 Diacom+ GM $580
http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_4.html EFI live $180

Editing software:
Free:
Winbin, can't find the home page but a copy can be found here http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/
http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/tutor...tandingHex.htm

Pay:
http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html Tunercat $70 + $20 per definition file
GMEpro $100, contact at terryk@foothill.net

There's lots of other useful software out there along with information.
If this gets enough response I'll post the links to them.

One that is often overlooked is Turbo-link, which is what I use. Originally designed for the Turbo Buicks now expanded to most OBDI cars.

Excellent screen shots and datalogging capabilities, exports to Excel etc.

Have you used turbo-link? For $300 do they give you the software to datalog everything in thier list? IF so that sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

I'm a big fan of TTS datamaster, all my calculators are built off of csv exports from that.. Can you configure the excel outputs? If not no big deal.

Yes, I had the previous version for my GN, then it just so happened right when I needed to tune my Corvette they expanded it to include additional vehicles. Yes, all vehicles are included in the software, you just select which vehicle you want and it sets up the applicable screen shot. It exports all the data in the ALDL stream as recorded; I just hide or delete the cells I don't want to see at that time. Unlimited recording time, basically until your hard drive is full

It has some neat options like the triggers for when drag racing, you can manually start the log with a space bar or just click the start button in the window, or you can set up an auto start at a certain TPS value etc. I also have the boost sensing harness for my GN so I can display and record my boost level, excellent for tuning and a good way to verify my 'not so accurate' factory boost gauge.

excellent post - i'll start digging around for what i can to use with mine - and see if i can find pricing on some of the ones you don't have prices listed for

***EDIT*** what i'm finding is that most, if not ALL of the freebies don't have anything for the 92-93 LT1 based corvette (using ECM 1992-1993 - 16159278)
looks like TTS has support (and not on their beta page)
EFI Live has support for 93 manual - and 93-95 auto - but no 92!
***EDIT2 ***
looks like what i was referring to above with support - is that BIN files that exist - i'm gonna load all of them and try them all - winALDL, EFILIVE, (i've already tried freescan, and it doesn't seem to communicate with my ECM)

I rep for Ease and can get any CF member who is interested a 10% rebate of the above retail price if they were to order through me.

Thanks for the price quote. I've looked all over that site and the links, but couldn't find any pricing info.
