Dash problems, need quick advice !

A friend has a '93 with dash problems. He is suppose to go on a trip tomorrow. All of a sudden the SES, ASR service, SEC lights come on, the gas gauge, and tach go crazy. If he disconnects the batt, and clears the codes, everything is OK for a while , then it starts all over. He cant get a hold of the friend who can read codes.
Any suggestions for a quick fix ??

It would be best to figure out what exactly is going on code wize.
