Default Use of Actron CP 9150

I have a 95 VERT and have used my ACTRON CP9150 to do a scan of the OBD I codes and it comes up clean. I have no trouble lights so I assume that all is well. Should I be doing something else with my scan/diag tool to check out my vehicle, or should I assume that all is well. Do all codes trigger the Check engine light???

Some codes will not trigger a check engine light, but the Actron would list anything that is there...so as long as it's connecting properly and coming up clean I would say you have nothing to worry about.
