Diagnostic Software for 86 L98?

I met a forum member tonight that happens to be my neighbor and a super cool dude.

He offered to throw my car on his laptop and run it for me to see where I'm at. I've been looking to do this for a while now, but my laptop is a Macintosh, so no luck on any software.

He's got a '91 sweet a$$ vette with 219 / SupeRam and all the goodies, but he's not sure if his TTS DataMaster will work for my '86 and asked if I can do some homework and find out what he'll need to get some data from my car. He's got the cable and laptop and he's running XP, so I don't know what's available and will work with that system.

Can somebody let me know what software I should use or maybe shoot me a copy of something I can give him for trial. This was a super nice gesture from a fellow member and I am stoked to finally get the opportunity to see what's up with my car.

His cable will need to be able to jump two bins with a 10k resistor. Does he have a moates.net cable? If so than he will just need to flip a switch.

I like www.ttspowersystems.com (tts datamaster) you'll need version $32 which will work on all of the 165 ecm cars.

I'll have to check on what cable and version he has. If I'm really lucky he'll have both.
