Default Dyno Tuner in DC, MD, VA area

I've loaded the Hypertech program for the LT4 with a "custom" program for the ZZ9 cam. I can't verify the substance of the program because it was ordered from a previous owner of the car. The Hypertech does have what appears to be a custom module that I have to plug into the bottom of the contraption, but again I'm not sure what variables it is supposed to change. I also use the hypertech for speedo adjustments with the 4.10 gears.

My question is: Does anyone know of a good tuner in the greater DC area besides Tony's Covettes in Gaithersburg, MD? I understand they do great work, but I also understand that a dyno tune runs about $900. I'm not sure that's money well spent.

Any other info anyone can give me on the substance of the hypertech system would also be appreciated.

BTW, the car runs great but I want to make sure it is running as well as possible.

Thanks.

There is woodbridge dyno which is below woodbridge I believe. They are supposed to be very good but from their web page they also are expensive. I got mine dynotuned in se. pa when www.pcmforless.com was doing a group session in the spring. You may want to contact them as Brian lives close to that area I believe.

Call Tony's Corvette Shop in Gaithersburg. He has a fully equipped dyno facility and is an expert on corvette tuning.

If anyone ever says they are a expert in corvette tuning ask them if they are also in Fbody tuning. Just so you know they use the exact same computers, program, chips, etc. Theres no difference other than ones in a vette and ones in a Fbody.. or Bbody for that matter.

From what EVERYONE I have spoke to says that Tonys does first rate work. The problem is cost. They gave me a price of around $750.00 when talking to them at the track. But this did not include them doing a complete checkup on the car and fixing anything that they felt needed fixed before tuning. Now this was about a year ago and it was when they had just started tuning cars. With the checkup it would have been in the $1000.00 range for the tune. The orig. post had already got a price from them and I suspect came to the same conclusion that I did.

I just got mine back from Tony's and the tune was 850 (75 was for adding the connetions for additinal sensors). Yes part of the tune cost is for checking out the car as why tune it if something is broke. Results for LT1 with LT4 hotcam, borla cat back and 160 stat was 314 SAE. I agree Tony can be expensive but they do know what they are doing.
