where is the serial port so that I can connect my akm cable?
sounds like dumb question, but there's a first time for everything.
I pulled the shield off the computer and it looks like all the ports are filled. Where is the serial port?

I anwered you in theFI forum, you need to get a USB - RS232 apated for about 25 dollars. newer laptops no longer have them... almost ecerything is USB now...
