Default First time tuning...Help !!

I have a 1987 coupe with L98 engine. I purchased a Moates Auto Prom with all the bells and whistels, Tuner Pro RT software and a bin file called 88CORV32. (Closest we could get to my car)

My firse problem is getting the bin into the Tuner Pro software in order to edit it.

After downloading all the software, Tuner Pro RT and the bin both appeared on my desktop each with their own Icon. Actually the bin has 2 Icons. 1 is a file which appears to track changes or edits to the bin, and date stamps them.

Anyway, When I bring up Tuner Pro and go to "File" I am unable to get the 88CORV32 to upload into tuner-pro so that I can edit it. I played with it all afternoon and was never able to get anything to happen except for the file name "88CORV32" to apear in a heading.

I was noticing the bin file is only 407 bites. Is this typical, or a clue to the real problem??

What the hell am I doing wrong??

If you send me a email with all your vehicle info IE gear, tranny, year I can send you a stock bin that I know works.

Other than that I can't relaly help you with tunerpro, i've never been a fan of it. I like Tunercat RT bette.r

It appears that your bin file is corrupted. The file size should be 16kb. Alvin can supply you with a stock calibration that will work.

You didn't mention an ECU file...you need the $32b ECU file also, for editing.

Yes, that is the correct mask.

I also have Tuner Cat, but I'm having a problem getting it started. My pasword doesn't work, and I'm waiting for a new one. I suspect it will be Monday before I recieve that.

John is pretty good about only working M-F till 5pm. I would imagine you would have it promptly at monday morning.

Did you try the binary I sent you? Did it make a difference?

Hay Alvin !!

I haven't received your bin yet. I'm wondering where it went. Let me check my profile to see if I have left an old e-mail address there.

Thanks!
