Default Attention Everyone:Before posting read this everyday.

This is the C4 Parts For Sale Section. Only C4 or C4 related parts can be sold here. No ebay auctions. Any links to ebay with a commercial seller will be deleted.

If you have a C4 For Sale, please post it in the "C4's For Sale" section.

As always it is buyer beware, seller beware. If you are unsure of a person, check their profile, ask around(privately of course), there are many members here who know each other or know of people. This way you can find out if the sale will go positively.

If you have a bad dealing with someone, you may post about it under the following conditions:

1.You've tried everything in your power to resolve the problem

2.The other party will not cooperate

3.Only state the facts, no insults or name calling.

4.If you are not one of the parties involved, please refrain from posting unless you have a way to help the situation, in other words, no lynch mob mentality, most of these "bad" dealings are due to simple miscommunication.

If you stiff someone and there is no question that you did, you may be banned from this section or placed "in moderation" until the Administration determines you can post at will.

If you are selling an item, please include a price and if your location is not showing under your name, include the location of the item.

If you are buying, please post your intentions so others know where they stand in line.

As a seller, if someone contacts you privately, tell him/her to post in the thread so the rest of us know what is going on, and honor the order in which people post. It's just plain common courtesy that's all.

I've seen too many threads where a sale has been made with nobody posting, and it really spoils it for some.

Obviously I can't keep an eye on every single post, so I'm relying on all of you to do the right thing.

As a seller if you feel unsure about a buyer, ship it COD, as a buyer if you feel unsure, ask to have it sent COD, this way it won't be paid for until it is received and nobody can be ripped off. Th efew extra dollars are worth the peace of mind.

This is not ebay and there is no feedback section and likely there won't be.

Thank you for understanding.

Just to clarify, no commercial sales are allowed unless it is by a supporting vendor.

As far as deadbeats go, you may not hijack his thread, simply email or PM anybody who cares to respond.

It may sound backwards, but troll hunters and vigilante squads can receive punishment for going overboard.

Some payment options:

UPS COD, as a seller you are gauranteed to get your money or your product returned.

As a buyer, you know you are getting the item before paying for it.

Only downfall is no prior inspection of the item is allowed, only visible damage(or lack of) to the box will help determine if the item is intact or not.

Another option that I've heard of but am not too familiar with is Escrow services.

A member provided me with a link www.escrow.com I haven't checked it out, but at least it's another option.

A few other tidbits.

Buy a digital camera, it's your best friend in a sale.

Most people want to see what they are buying before they pay for it and I believe they have that right.

Be careful in your description.

"Mint" or "Perfect" means they are just as good as brand new. NIB(new in box) means they were never used(that's the way I read it), MIB(mint in box) means they may have been opened, tried on whatever, but are still new and never used.

Excellent=not perfect, but a few belmishes, maybe a rub mark or a small scratch barely visible.

Great=not ashamed to put your car in a show

Good=good enough for a people choice award at a car show

Fair=daily driver status

Poor=get rid of it, it's hideous

Everyone interprets descriptions differently, teh above is my view only, some may or may not agree, but I'm trying to give a baseline.

One more time, no commercial sales unless you are a supporting vendor.

It seems that quite a few people who we've had problems with recently are commercial vendors who are not supporting vendors.

If you wish to become a supporting vendor, contact savewave jdwillis@bellsouth.net

OK, I forgot to add this(but it is in the general guidelines you all read when you registered for the forum)

You can not attack a sellers price in an open thread. If you feel the person is askingtoo much simply drop them a PM and let them know.

If a seller or buyer does not have a location in his profile, do not do business with them. It seems that many of the problems we see deal with someone who doesn't want to disclose their location. They are trying to hide something, my advice, do not deal with them.

If you are a seller, please inclusde your location in your profile so that it is easily visible under your name when you post.

These deals are based on trust, if you can't trust people enough to let them know where you are located, how can they trust you to send you money for parts sight unseen?

Naturally if someone sends you money, they will have an address, but is it real? Is it a PO Box? Is it an empty house so you can fake your address?

If these bad deals keep happening(and I'm not talking about the scam artists who are new members, but longtime members who are just not playing nice), I will recommend that this section be removed from the forum.

After some review with the Admins I have to post this.

I'm not naming any names, but most of us know what is going on and it has been going on too long.

The vendors involved do not fit that guideline and may not use the Forum for promotion of their goods/services.

2. Forum members can post about a good experience they have had with a non-supporting vendor so long as that post is not so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL) or so frequent as to constitute marketing and promotion. The links included and repeated references to some of those involved put them in conflict with our rules/guidelines.

3. There is some kind of rivaly and/or personal dispute involving one or more of these non-supporting vendors that has resulted in personal attacks and repeated bashing. Forum rules allow for the posting of a factual account of an unresolved dispute so long as every reasonable effort first has been made to resolved the issue offline. After the factual account has been posted, it goes into the archives and cannot be reintroduced on subsequent days and in a variety of sections. The dispute in some of the links you provided is in conflict with those rules/guidelines.

Bottom line: Nobody is exempt from Forum rules/guidelines. The vendors mentioned must stop using the Forum to promote their goods/services or risk being banned. The loyal followers of each vendor much stop promoting the services provided by their friends because it has exceeded what is allowable. The bashing of vendors (supporting or non-supporting) and Forum members is always inappropriate and must stop.

I've noticed some of you have figured out how I approve posts, well it ain't going to work. There is a hidden area you can't see that I also mark for approval.

If anyone puts my mark in their title, I will lock it immediately.

You know who you are.

I am writing an updated and more specific set of rules to be posted later.

Watch for it, it will be more strict due to some who refuse to listen.
