Trinity: Wow, that's a tough question. Let's see. First of all, the Robertshaws are head and shoulders better than anything I've seen because of the huge "pill" and great flow capability. 160 was best for performance, but the heater barely worked when it got cold out. 170 was what TPiS recommended, and seemed to be a decent compromise. I liked 180 just to get things hot enough to boil off the water and other contaminants in the oil, and to thin the oil enough to reduce viscosity some more. 195 is, well, you know....! Maybe use that one for a paperweight, or for a good chuckle now and then.

1988Coupe: BobMachus offered to buy and pay asap, now almost 24 hours old. We better give him another day or so. Else, they are yours. Oh, I found a brand new third gasket, too.

 -Bill

Hey Bill, I'd e-mail ya, but I didn't see an addy in your profile. I've searched the net, but I can't find Robertshaw thermostates. Can you (or anyone) tell me where I can get one? Thanks. :seeya
