Following this post. Based on the front latches, it looks like this came off an 89-96. I think there is some ability to switch the mounting bracket between years, but not certain.

It might be interesting to look at the front of the left side/driver rail for a VIN Derivative to see what year. If there's no Derivative then it could be assumed to be an 'over the counter' purchase at one time. Pretty nice with the pads etc.

You can change the front windshield mounts to match a top, but the plates on the top can't be changed. I know because Bubba put a mid year top on my 91, securing the front with zip ties! I didn't have 6 to 8 hundred to buy a late top, that money needs to go toward fixing Bubbas other handy work, so I put on a pair of mid year mounts, saving all the original mounts and header trim in case the next guy wants to convert it back to original.

Thanks for all the info. I’m rarely on the C4 section as I’m an old C1 and C2 dinosaur. PM me or email me at j56fuelie@yahoo.com

Thanks. Is this what you’re referring to? Sorry, I’m just not knowledgeable on these “newfangled” Corvettes. I’m an old C1 and C2 guy.

If that last digit is a 9 then this would be the 1991 VIN 1G1YY2385M5103859 - if it's other than a 9 post it and I'll redo the VIN if you're interested but yes it is an OE/GM shipped with a car.

I “think” it IS a 9, but I will confirm tomorrow. Thanks for your help. 👍

Sorry for the late response. I just now looked and the last character IS INDEED a 9. Hope this helps with any questions. I’m a C1 / C2 guy so this top needs to go.
