Age, the stress of vibration, excessive heat and driver's knees hitting the dashboard have taken their toll on my 1988 dash frame. I designed and had fabricated some stress crack repair plates made from 0.060" 6061 aluminum.

If your early model C4 (1984 to 89) has a cracked dash frame at the upper left side frame mounting point, I'm offering my remaining repair plates for $10 a piece (free shipping.)

I recently had someone ask for one of my 1984-89 Dash frame stress crack repair plates but I do not currently have any left to sell.

So, I'd like to ask if anyone needs one of these plates to let me know. If I can get at least ten people to commit then I will have my fabricator make some more plates.

Nice! I've done the same myself, cracked OEM attach points looked almost exactly like the one pictured. Installed the aluminum plates with JB Weld Black Plastic Weld, worked so well. Did the left and right upper corners, probably need to find a few more areas to do, but that's where I had the access at the time.

Wow! This is an unexpected number of requests!

I'll tally up the request count (looks like 19 plates have been requested) and arrange to have some more plates made. I will post to this thread again when I have determined what the final sale price will be for each plate.

I am curious about something though, why are so many of you requesting two plates? Do you all have two early model C4 Corvettes each?

I have c4s stacked like wood ! I have a few and won't be slowing down anytime soon ! I've hand cut a few in the past. Your will take up 0 space to have on hand !
