New to Corvette community. Love my new '93. I want to trade my blue tint FACTORY targa for a torch red targa. My top in VG cond with a just a few spiders in the the glass. Depending on the year/cond of trade I will consider cash exchange. Photos will follow/be supplied before deal is made.
Also, I will consider any color '89 > '96 targa to buy outright if seals and headliner decent.

More info please. Weather strips/head liner decent? Outside trim/paint decent ? Paint is my main consideration, I can deal with head liner/weatherstrip issues, I'd just like to know. I'm about 2 hours +/- depending on your location and am extremely interested. I could come up soon with cash, or could we meet somewhere in between ? What is your general location? its mint, its locked in position trunk of car, can get pics later in week. all weatherstrip and fabric perfect. I dont know if there is other reds though than torch it looks same as in your pic thou would like to see other reds for those years to be sure same red. was gonna put on my black 91 and just repaint to match im in nw suburbs chicago
im pretty sure its torch red and not dark red metallic, but will need give another look. need charge battery to get back glass open , will do before friday at latest.
i see there is a bright red 92, when bought this top i am pretty sure vehicle was 93 or 94. really dont want to remove the headliner for date code which i am sure is probably covered by it. Hopefully a simple photo taken can confirm color.
I dont know could be 1992 bright red or the torch red. took pic inside car, battery is dead but i cant guarantee which color it is. this small portion of photo the rest looked way too orange from actual color.
From what I gather online 1992 Corvette Bright Red is code 81 while 1993 Corvette Torch red is code 70. I don't know how to tell the difference ( if any ) without having the car and the top together. I'll keep looking for an answer. I'm going to post a question on this forum and a couple of FB Corvette forums. Once again you are not sure of the tops origin ?
I'm already getting forum replies that the colors are in fact quite different. If you really want to sell it you could take it to a body shop, they could most likely identify the color using paint cards or some other method. That why you and your potential buyers can deal.

Understand your concern, I’m pretty sure it’s torch red but I’d feel terrible if wrong and you drove hours. Good luck hopefully someone out there has confirmed what you need.
Thanks for your continued communication. I'm willing to pay the full $400, could you try to identify the color? Body shops have spectrum analysis equipment and color chip charts for formulating paint, one could have a body shop identify the paint.
