not trying to put the kibosh on any pending sale, but FYI -- the A.I.R. or smog pump for the 85 corvette is a unique part number.
1984 - 7845380
1985 - 7846432
1986 - 7834915
1987 thru 1991 - 7849157
seems to me, the 87-91's main case is not as deep as the 1985 part, and I do not know the difference between the 85 and 86, but i'm thinking the rear case on the 85 is cast iron (painted black) and the rear casting in the 86 is (natural) aluminum. they may be form, fit, and function identical, but i'm just guessing. I have no idea on the differences between the 84 and others, other than it's x-fire vs. L98 configuration. again, not trying to kill any deals in progress, only saying to do your homework before any purchase.
one additional part number. the correct GM service replacement smog pump for the 1985 corvette is (AC Delco) #215-326, but it's been long discontinued.
BTW, I have a NOS delco #215-326, in the box, but it's not for sale unless you have really, really, really deep pockets -
