WTB Throttle Bracket for SuperRam
Started installing the SuperRam and realized the stock throttle body BRACKET bolts on, but the angles for the TV and Throttle cables are wrong.
Discovered there is a throttle bracket JUST FOR SUPERRAM.
Accel 74200 was the part number, but it does not appear to be available from the usual outlets (many list it, like Summit, but it is not really available).
If anyone has one of these sitting around, I have the perfect place to make it useful!
Cheers,
M

Driving Antiques
I guess that's the price for driving cars from the 80s! I think it's finally time for me to take a metal fabrication (or at least welding) course at the local Adult Education Center!
Matthew, thank you for pioneering this modification and ESPECIALLY for posting the guide so those of us less mechanically inclined can "color by numbers" and get a decent result.
I am constantly humbled by the generosity of CF members, in time, energy, cheap or free parts, even willing to turn a wrench for a neighbor. I doubt I'll ever be able to give back anywhere near as much as I have learned and been gifted by CF members, but it is a worthy goal I will try to achieve some day. What a GREAT community!
Yeah, I guess it's a sign of age -- I just don't think the 80s were THAT long ago.... but when I do the math or look at my adult kids (born in the 90s), I realize DANG it HAS been a long, strange road....
Thank you again. Cheers,
M

That looks like a good deal on ebay. Says it's a camaro bracket. Let us know if the mounting holes for the cables are the same because they look slightly different than what I have, but nothing a flat file couldn't fix if necessary.
On the seller's notes it has this:
"Q: Does this part mimic Accels part#74200. Does this solve the problem of cable binding using the stock cable bracket on the super ram?
A: It is the Accel part for the SuperRam but I believe it is specifically for the LT1 F-body SuperRam that was a lower height version for hood clearance in the 1993-1997 LT1 Camaro and Firebird. "

Yes, that was me asking that question to the seller just after I found it on e-bay thanks to Tunedport90, note that I also offered the seller $15.00 instead of the $19.95 he was asking and my offer was accepted. I saw the one Matatk recommended, but way too much money at $39.00. Although I have been known to spend crazy money when it comes to my C4. Good responses all the way around and I think we have this problem solved no matter which way Masterspykiller decides to go.
