Does this need the Bose AMPs at the speakers? I have a base sound system with a cassette and just want CD ability.

This is my first Corvette and I am not that knowledgeable about them.
All I know is my system has the amps at the speakers and when I installed
the new radio I had to remove a lot of the interior to install a harness to bypass the original tuner.
