i hate to ask but does anyone have an extra chip for an '85?
i though ti bought one off a forum member for $50 but of course he scammed me, does anyone have an extra chip for an 85' that's setup for stock? i'm getting chip codes and i want to try another one just to be safe.

I think with those two things you would need a aftermarket/custom chip. I will keep a eye out for a chip for you. If you are looking for a stock one try the auto parts store, that is where my brother got his for his 86.

No, your the guy with the 85' chip. You have the oddball ECM and prom chip. They are the old 2732a style. Those are the ones I had to order from freakin' Canada! Customs takes a long time. No one here is looking to rip you off over $50. Your chip is coming. Now the 86 and up TPI chips are easy because they are very plentiful and readily available!

I recently bought a custom chip from 91tpiman for my 86 and I received it pretty quickly and it performed very well. I don't know about your situation but he treated me well and let me know if I had any issues with his chip he would burn me another one
