Ok I think some people Told me a myth. About early ZF bellhousings. I find Only the c4 ZR1 had the aluminium Bellhousing. Has anyone tried using a LT5 PP in the SBC ZF bellhousing.. will the tall hat PP clear the magnesium ribbed bellhousing.. or does anyone know of a LT1/4 PP disc combo that will handle 400 - 500 HP without pure racing characteristics.

when i did my swap from 700r4 to zf6, i did i lot of research and found the LT4 96 bellhousing to be magnesium and pick one up when GM clearanced all zf6 stuff.

the ZR1 bell housing is thicker (block to tranny) and requires the zF-6 input shaft.

But at 500 hp a good six iron puck sprung from carolina clutch will do fine. After running several types it finally worked for my 383 well. The trick is to get a fresh PP and a good master/slave hyd set. the hydraulics make the tranny and any $$$$ clutch look underperforming...from always partially engaged to never engaging.
