Computer Mods?
Your system looks like a good deal, but I have a few questions about an installation. I didn't see any mention about required modifications to the computer. Do you have something in mind for the computer to accomodate the top end installed in the car? Was there a change to the fuel pump and lines going to be made? What ignition modifications had you anticipated? Do the exhaust ports on these heads match existing manifolds or are special headers required? Could an 1989 L89 pass imissions with this installation?
Thanks for your reply.

Fuel pump could use upgrading as well as the fuel injectors.
the plan was headers, but the standard L98 manifolds match up fine.
This setup could pass California emissions, if you used your factory exhaust and a different cam. The problem with using your factory exhaust, and factory cam, is that you will not reach the intended power goal of 550 horsepower. This system was picked out to go with headers, and no catalytic converters, on a 383 bottom end. With that, a goal of 550 horsepower is very very likely.
If using a stock bottom end, and factory exhaust, I do not know what power the car could make.
Hope this info helps.

I understand what you are saying. I have installed a BB throttle body, Accel coil, wires, and ignition module, K&N air filter and air box, 2.5" true dual exhaust pipes out the rear, high flow cats, Hooker Aeroflow mufflers each with dual 3" tail pipes. I dropped the car about 1" with new poly bushings and matched attaching hardware. I installed a Hypertech chip, (which didn't seem to do anything and came back out). I have a ported plenum, oversized ported runners, and manifold base. So, I have a start - I just want to take it up a bit more. Eventually, I might install a turbo system as well. I have several other cars, so I can take my time working on this one.

I know that the gaskets are 1205's and I know he has some 28 pound injectors from an LS1.
With the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you can bump up the pressure to get the full 28 pounds.
The LS1 injectors are shorter then the TPI style. You just have to use another o-ring and you're good to go.
